What is the cost for the year, and what is included in that?
The annual fees vary by age group and are dependent upon the frequency of training and events/leagues each team is participating in. For specific details, please Contact Us
How much are uniforms?
Uniform packages range from $150-$250 per player and include two game jerseys, two pairs of shorts, three pairs of socks, and a training jersey.
Where do I order uniforms?
After being offered and accepting a spot, you will receive an invite to order your uniform package directly from Soccer.com.
How does my child tryout for the club?
Click the registation button at the top of the page to be taken to a link to register in PlayMetrics. Once registered, you can attend any or all of the tryout dates offered.
Can my child attend a training session to be assessed and get a feel for how the team operates?
Yes. Simply complete the Contact Us form to provide details for your player, and we will contact you to arrange a date and time that works for you.
What criteria are used in evaluating players?
Our focus is on current technical ability, athletic ability, soccer IQ, desire to compete, and our evaluation of a child's potential.
When will spots be offered for players trying out?
The moment we determine a player has the ability to compete at the level of the current team, a spot will be offered.
When is my spot secured?
Once the initial payment is received, your spot will be secured. We cannot reserve spots for any child until then without specific approval of the Director of Coaching.
How do I know which age group my child is eligible for?
Age groups are currently based on calendar year. For instance, players born in 2014 will be U12 for the 2025/2026 season.
Where will training and games be located?
Training will be held at the brand-new 42-acre indoor and outdoor Columbus Soccer Academy complex, 3410 Owen-Fraley Road, Delaware, Ohio 43015, United States. The primary training and game surface will be turf, allowing for minimal weather impact and the best playing surface possible for speed of play and player development. The facility is expected to open in September 2025, and prior to then, Liberty Park in Powell will be used for all training.
Who will be my child's coach?
Coaches of each age group, as well as staff coaches who will potentially help out with each age group are in the listed on the Our Staff page with complete coach bios.
How long is the season?
All teams begin training in July and conclude at the end of May. During the winter months, each team will continue to train indoors based on the schedule set for each coach.
Can my child play other sports and still play on a Grasshoppers team?
Yes. We support players participating in other sports.
Do you offer financial assistance for families who can't afford the cost of fees? If so, how do we apply?
