As a youth soccer coach, Mikey's coaching philosophy is built on four pillars of player development: technical ability, work ethic, soccer IQ, and team mentality. He uses his experience at the club, high school, and college levels to analyze these fundamental areas for individuals and groups, fostering progress across the board. Through a shared love for the game and a desire to improve, Mikey strives to create genuine and lasting relationships with his players and colleagues – cultivating an empowering and enjoyable atmosphere for practice and games.

Experience

Mikey  is a two-time State Champion with St. Francis DeSales High School, where he also earned All-District and All-League honors for his standout performances. At the club level, he played with Ohio Premier, winning the Midwest Regionals and earning a trip to Nationals. He went on to play four years of collegiate soccer at Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU), where he contributed to the team’s NCAC Tournament Championship. During his college career, he also spent a summer training with Loudoun United of the USL, gaining valuable experience in a professional environment. Mikey's focus now is  sharing his knowledge and passion for the game focusing on technical development, creativity, and soccer IQ.
